Zoops…Zoopla’s £13.85m gaffe
A TECHNICAL glitch has shocked the residents of sleepy Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides, after property website Zoopla put a valuation of £14m on a semi-detached house not even up for sale.
Zoopla yesterday showed six houses for sale in the town, ranging from a 4-bed town house priced at £225,000 to a 2-bed terraced house for £40,000. The semi in Balmerino Drive, currently home to Annabel and Dan MacDonald, was nowhere to be seen but the search engine had valued it at £14m.
The MacDonalds told the BBC that they thought the house was worth closer to £150,000, but added that they would consider a sale if the £14m offer was made.
▀ PR firm Cognito had a summer party last night and, rather than offering the usual free pens and mugs as favours, instead presented guests with bespoke tea blends of your favourite EU politicians. We suggest the Merkel; “a delicate but intense leaf. Best taken straight up in the afternoon.” Fair.
