Zarate wants to join West Ham
MANAGER Sam Allardyce’s attacking revolution at West Ham is set to begin today, with former Lazio and Inter Milan forward Mauro Zarate expected at Upton Park to pen a three-year deal.
Allardyce, unpopular with Hammers fans, has been given a stay of execution by the club’s board, but told to play more attractive football and achieve a top-10 finish in the Premier League next season.
Zarate, 27, was top scorer in Argentina last season helping Velez Sarsfield finish sixth in the Primera Division.
He said: “It’s a new chance for me. West Ham called me. They are a fierce team and now I think I want to play there.”
