The win bumps Murray from 11th to 10th in the world rankings.
The ATP Finals “best of the best” pits the top eight players against each other.
Murray has a number of tournaments lined up in order to gain enough points to qualify for the end of season tournament due to be held at the O2 arena in London from 9-16 November.

Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal have already made it through to the finals.
Just behind the top three and ahead of Murray in the rankings are Stan Warinka, Marin Cilic, Kei Nishikori, David Ferrer, Tomas Berdych and Milos Raonic.
