Whitbread boss takes seat on Dunelm board
DUNELM Group, the out-of-town specialist homeware retailer, yesterday added the boss of Whitbread to its boardroom.
Andy Harrison, who has been at the helm of the Costa Coffee owner since 2010, was named as a non-executive director earlier this year and formally took up his seat on the board yesterday.
Harrison, a former chief executive EasyJet and also ex-chief executive of Lex Service, previously chaired the audit committee at publisher Emap as a non-executive director between 2000 and 2008.
Dunelm, founded in 1979 as a market stall business selling ready-made curtains, is based in Leicester and has a £1.7bn market cap.
It currently operates 143 stores in the UK and is ranked as the market leader in the £11bn UK homeware market.
