Which actor is the best investment? Marvel Avengers stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Hemsworth provide biggest bang for their buck
If actors were stocks, investors would have landed their biggest returns from Captain America.
Chris Evans, the actor who plays the marvel hero in the Avengers and the namesake films, gives the most bang for their buck of any actor, returning $214.20 for every $1 he's paid.
Captain America isn't the only bankable Marvel star either. Scarlett Johansson returns $84.90 for every dollar and Thor (otherwise known as Chris Hemsworth, in real life) $42.10, ranking third and sixth, respectively.
Marvel Studios is owned by Disney, as is the Star Wars franchise which yesterday broke box office records, and while there's no actor's index, it's the film studios which are landing those big returns.
Evans' appearance at the top of the list, and other Marvel stalwarts, is down to relatively small pay compared to the giant returns of the franchise, and the pay of the Avenger which kick started the whole thing, Iron Man Robert Downey Jr.
