TIME magazine is hosting a debate on the future of capitalism, with participants including Bank of America’s Brian Moynihan and Sharan Burrow, general secretary of the International Trade Union Confederation
At noon, Clifford Chance hosts a heavily subscribed discussion on “What next for Europe?” Speakers include senior executives and advisers to Standard Chartered, BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank as well as Clifford Chance partner Michael Bray.
All eyes will be on German Chancellor Angela Merkel at 5pm, when she is due to deliver the formal opening address to the forum, likely to cover the crisis of sovereign debt, bail-outs and Greek bondholder losses.
The chiefs of Airbus, Alcoa, Cisco, NYSE Euronext and BCG are among the speakers in a discussion about the “global business context”.
