Wempe’s observatory celebrates its tenth birthday with three stunning new wristwatches
Ten years ago, luxury watch and jewellery boutique Wempe acquired the legendary observatory in Glashütte, the German Mecca for watchmakers.
It is there that Wempe produces its outstanding chronometers, and in celebration it has announced three stunning new wristwatches – two of which are limited edition – and its first in-house self-winding calibre. The new movement is fitted in its classic Chronometerwerke Automatic, the perfect City watch, available in 18k yellow gold with a crocodile-skin strap.
Also announced are two watches limited to 100 pieces each: the Zeitmeister Sport Diver’s Chronograph DLC, which looks as slick in the board-room as the ocean-floor, and the Zeitmeister Annual Calendar, which, with its self-winding movement, is the most complicated piece in the Zeitmeister range.
