Vimto adds some fizz to owner Nichols
VIMTO owner Nichols yesterday reported a fizzy first-half 2015 profit growth – despite revenue remaining flat, as it stayed with its “value over volume” strategy.
The soft drinks company, which also owns Sunkist, said it made a pre-tax profit of £10.9m in the six months to 30 June, up nine per cent from the £10m it made in the first half last year.
Overall revenue was £54.7m, but in the UK it grew two per cent, driven by a 33.4 per cent rise in Vimto sales.
