Veteran Quindell board member Tony Bowers dies
Insurance outsourcer Quindell announced that its independent non-executive vice-chairman Tony Bowers passed away yesterday afternoon.
Bowers was a partner with Deloitte for 23 years before his retirement in 2008, when he began specialising in dealing with companies on aspects of business and taxation.
He went on to join Quindell’s board in February 2011.
“Tony was a much valued member of the board, providing insightful and considered advice throughout Quindell’s development, and his counsel, experience and support will be greatly missed,” said Quindell chairman Rob Terry.
Bowers was also a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
Quindell said it would announce further non-executive board appointments in due course.
Quindell, which is listed on the Alternative Investment Market (Aim), offers outsourcing and consultancy services to a host of businesses.
