US total net TIC flows drop to $-106.8bn in September
Net long-term TIC flows in the US for September stood at $25.5bn in September, exceeding expectations of $21.3bn, and following August's fall to $-9.8bn (revised from $-8.9bn).
Total net flows, however, declined in the month to $-106.8bn, from $-13.8bn in August.
'TIC' stands for Treasury International Capital, which is used as an indicator to track the flow of money used for purchasing government securities, as well as corporate bonds and equities.
