US Presidential Election odds 2016: Donald Trump breaks 50 per cent support among Republican voters for first time in national poll as bookies shorten odds on him becoming president
After winning in a number of key states overnight Donald Trump has become even more likely to claim the Republican nomination, with odds shortening on him entering the White House.
In the wake of the overnight results, he's now 5/2 to be elected President, down from 3/1 yesterday, with Ladbrokes.
His odds were also cut after the bookmaker took a £14,000 wager on him to be elected.
With Betway, Trump is now just 11/4 to be the next president of the US, having been as long as 150/1 in the past.

Trump won in Florida, Illinois and North Carolina, while Marco Rubio dropped out of the race. John Kasich took Ohio.
In the build-up to Rubio's collapse, Trump for the first time edged over the 50 per cent mark in national support among Republican voters for the first time.

According to YouGov data, Trump garnered the support of a majority of Republican primary voters for the first time in their most recent survey, after a previous high of 44 per cent in late February.
Meanwhile, on the Democrat side of the race, Clinton took four states: Florida, Illinois, North Carolina and Ohio.
