US Presidential Election 2016: Donald Trump forced to apologise after video emerges of him bragging about trying to kiss and grope women
Republican presidential candidate has been beset by another scandal in his controversial campaign for the White House after a video emerged of him bragging about trying to kiss and grope women.
In a video from 2005 obtained by the Washington Post, the billionaire tycoon-turned-politican was filmed saying "you can do anything" to women "when you're a star" off-camera while travelling on a bus.
He also bragged about trying to grope and kiss women, saying: "I just start kissing them… I just kiss. I don't even wait."
Trump issued a 90-second video apologising for his remarks this morning.
"I've never said I'm a perfect person, nor pretended to be someone that I'm not," Trump said.

"I've said and done things I regret and the words released today in this more than a decade old video are one of them. Anyone who knows me knows these words don't reflect who I am. I said it, I was wrong, and I apologise.
"I have gotten to know the great people of our country and I have been humbled by the faith they've placed in me. I pledge to be a better man tomorrow and will never, ever let you down."
Trump added that the new video was a "distraction" from the "important issues we're facing today" and quickly turned the situation back on Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and her husband Bill.
"I've said some foolish things, but there's a big difference between the words and actions of other people, Bill Clinton has actually abused women and Hillary has bullied, attacked, shamed and intimidated his victims."

Hillary Clinton lambasted Trump on Twitter, as did former Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush.
This is horrific. We cannot allow this man to become president. https://t.co/RwhW7yeFI2

As the grandfather of two precious girls, I find that no apology can excuse away Donald Trump's reprehensible comments degrading women.

Last month, Trump caused outcry when he made comments inciting violence against Hillary Clinton, saying she should let her bodyguards disarm so the nation can "see what happens to her" when she is unprotected.
