US Presidential Election 2016: Bookies slash odds on Donald Trump to become next President after winning New Hampshire primary
Outspoken Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump is now more likely to enter the White House after winning the New Hampshire Primary, according to bookmakers.
Previously at 6/1 to become the next US President, a Trump victory is now being offered at 7/2 by Betway after it emerged he was likely to get more than twice the number of votes of the next Republican candidate.
Meanwhile, Ladbrokes has put Trump at 9/2 second favourite to win the Presidency, while he's taken over as Republican frontrunner from Marco Rubio, whose odds took a huge hit after his dismal fifth place on Tuesday night. He's been pushed out from 3/1 to 8/1.

Commenting on his victory, Trump said: "We are going to make America so great again."
On the Democrat side of the race, senator Bernie Sanders overcame Hillary Clinton by a huge margin, remarking that his victory demonstrated people want "real change". Yet Betway reckons his chances are only slightly improved, now offering 7/1 rather than 15/2.
Both Sanders and Trump are capitalising on the disconnect many American voters currently have with mainstream politics. Still, Clinton remains the favourite to become the next President, holding out at 5/6 with Betway and evens with Ladbrokes.

New Hampshire is the second state to have chosen delegates, following on from the Iowa caucus where senator Ted Cruz overcame Trump and Clinton held strong. Republican hopeful Carly Fiorina has dropped out of the race following a poor showing at last night's primary.
The battle now moves to South Carolina, where Trump leads heavily in the polls and Sanders is closing in on Clinton.
