US-China trade talks end, but we still have no official outcome
High levels trade talks between the US and China ended today with no official statement from either side.
Earlier this week it was reported that US President Donald Trump was considering pushing back a 1 March deadline for US tariffs on China to ramp up by 60 days.
Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are also set for a meeting to try and resolve the trade conflict between the two economic powerhouses, although no meeting has been confirmed at this stage.

US treasury secretary Steve Mnuchin said on Twitter this morning that the meetings between the US delegation and China vice premier Liu had been “productive”, but gave no further detail.

Mnuchin and US trade representative Robert Lighthizer are set to meet Xi later today.
US tariffs on $200bn worth of Chinese imports are scheduled to jump to 25 percent from 10 percent if the two sides don’t reach a deal by the deadline.
