Ultra lands $21m from General Dynamics Electric Boat Corporation
Defence, security and transport firm Ultra Electronics has announced that its EMS Development Corporation Business has won a multi-year contract worth over $21m from General Dynamics Electric Boat Corporation.
The deal is for the production of naval computer-controlled power supply systems, with delivery to take place over the next five years.
The FTSE 250 company has designed, manufactured and delivered a whole host of systems in the past to the navies of the US, UK, Korea and Spain.
Commenting on the deal, chief executive Rakesh Sharma, said:
I am pleased we have secured this important contract which recognises Ultra's specialist power management systems and supports as key US Navy submarine programme.
