University rankings 2015: These are the 10 best places to study in the UK
The latest global university rankings are out, and once again a number of UK institutions appear at the very top of the list.
Times Higher Education puts Oxford, Cambridge and Imperial in the top 10 for 2015-2016, with each climbing up one place compared to the previous year.
Oxford, which received an overall score of 94.2 out of 100, was the UK's highest in second place overall. California Institute of Technology, which achieved 95.2 points, took the number one spot.
The scoring system, which looked at a number of factors including teaching quality, industry income and research, put Cambridge in fourth place overall and Imperial in eighth place. Harvard, meanwhile, fell into sixth place.
But these three UK universities are not the only ones to have advanced up the list – Edinburgh, King's College London and Durham all rose by more than 10 places.
