UBS hires ex-JPM exec
FORMER JP Morgan executive Ian Slatter has resumed his career with a new role at Swiss bank UBS.
UBS has appointed Slatter co-head of fixed-income, commodities and currencies (FICC) distribution for Europe, Middle East and Africa. He took up the role with the FICC team on 10 January and reports to Roberto Hoornway, UBS’ global head of securities distribution, sources told City A.M.
Slatter, who left JP Morgan six months ago after more than 16 years at the bank, headed sales teams for the majority of his time there including four years as co-head of European sales and marketing.
At UBS he is replacing Mark Jones, who is relocating to Hong Kong to lead the credit sales team for the Asia Pacific region. His co-head should be announced soon.
