Tullow Oil output rises in Ghana
UK-based Tullow Oil expects crude oil production from its operations in Ghana to reach 80,000 barrels per day by next week and 120,000 barrels per day by August, the operator of the company revealed yesterday. It said the production levels were an “important milestone”. Tullow operates Ghana’s offshore Jubilee oil field, which began producing oil in December 2010. Production currently stands at about 70,000 barrels per day.
