Travel disruption as severe delays on Jubilee Line between Westminster and Stratford causing “death trap” crowds at Waterloo
A faulty train at Bermondsey was causing severe delays on the Jubilee this morning, disrupting services between Westminster and Stratford.
The delays were causing crowds of commuters to build throughout the line, with Transport for London having to deploy crowd control in stations such as Canada Water. Entrance to the station is currently restricted and customers have been advised to use alternative stations where possible.
Commuters posted pictures showing the extent of the crowding (and the length of time people were having to wait for a Tube) on the line. One user called Waterloo a "death trap"

TfL said there was no estimated time for the issue to be resolved.
On top of that, a power failure at Surrey Quays meant that all barriers were open and passengers were unable to validate their Oyster cards.
Earlier this morning, Angel Tube station was closed "due to a shortage of station staff", although it has since been reopened.
