Transport for London: If you’re travelling on Central Line you need to “replan your journey” after signal failure causes “carnage”
A signal failure at Marble Arch was causing travel chaos for Central Line commuters this morning, and the advice was pretty galling to Londoners who had no alternative route.
Severe delays were being caused by the problem, which engineers were attempting to fix during rush hour.

Central Line's Twitter feed said: “Replan your journey here… Sorry,”
But that was cold comfort to those who had already started out on their journey and been caught up in the chaos.
Commuters claimed the line was “carnage”.
“Avoid at all costs,” one said. “Didn't have enough coffee to deal with this,” another added.
A third said: "The Central Line is a friend to no one this morning."
