Three things you didn’t know about…
UK chairman of public affairs, Weber Shandwick Jon McLeod
1 Jon was a member of “moderately successful” eighties band, The Red Army Choir. They supported New Order when they had Blue Monday in the charts and Peter Hook once warned, “keep your f****** hands off our equipment or I’ll smash your face in.”
2 He’s a fluent Russian speaker, having started to learn at 13. He visited the Soviet Union in 1981 and describes it as a formative experience (especially as he got to travel back through Berlin during David Bowie’s “Berlin” stage).
3 He currently has a hand in chick-lit. His wife, Wendy Holden is a popular chick-lit author and Jon not only gets to read the books before anyone else, he also makes suggestions for various scenes.
