Threadneedle Communications merges with fellow public relations firm Icis
TWO major City PR firms yesterday announced they will merge their operations.
Threadneedle Communications, a small companies consultancy and Icis, a specialist technology PR firm, will now both operate under the Threadneedle umbrella.
Threadneedle provides investor and media relations services to growing companies and has a strong presence in business and support services, financial services and property, natural resources and energy.
Icis is an established player in the smaller companies arena that has provided a specialist service to companies in the technology, media and telecoms sectors.
It has been led by founder Tom Moriarty since it was formed in 1999.
Graham Herring, chief executive of Threadneedle, said, “We’re very excited to be joining forces with Icis. Tom and his team have established a strong reputation in the technology sector and we believe Threadneedle can draw from their experience to add further value to our clients.”
Tom Moriarty, Icis chief executive, said: “By merging with Threadneedle we are creating a leading force in the growth companies arena.
“Threadneedle has done an excellent job in establishing itself as a highly respected consultancy and grown very successfully over a short period of time. Both myself and the rest of the team at ICIS look forward to working with them.”
