These are the best seaside areas for landlords to invest in
Beach holiday hot-spots such as Brighton and Eastborne have lost out to northern beaches as the best places for landlords to invest in rental properties.
Forget the donkey rides at Brighton pier – Hull has been named as the top seaside area for landlords in England and Wales; property investors in the postcode enjoy rental yields up to 10.7 per cent in coastal resorts such as Withernsea.

Blackpool has taken second place in the ranking from property investment website LendInvest. Landlords investing in the northern beach town can bag rental yields of 8.2 per cent.
In third place is Llandudno in North Wales, which offers average rental yields of 6.1 per cent. Brighton languished in tenth position in the poll.

Christian Faes, chief executive of LendInvest, said: "When you think about investing in property in a seaside town, many will immediately think of places like Brighton and Eastbourne.
"But as our research makes clear, investing in the right Northern seaside towns, for example, could prove a lot more lucrative.
