Demand for London homes dropped in the second quarter of this year.
But, despite this, two of the capital's boroughs topped the charts in terms of growing interest.
Appetite for houses in the capital shrunk by two per cent between the first and second quarter to 39 per cent, according to Emoov’s National Hotspots Index.

Nationwide, the demand percentage was up three per cent during the period to 40 per cent. Excluding London, the figure was 41 per cent, an increase of eight per cent.
However, the London boroughs of Kingston Upon Thames and Southwark were the biggest climbers between the first and second quarters, up 59 per cent and 47 per cent respectively.
They were followed by several areas in the North East of England, including Stockton-on-Tees, North Tyneside and Gateshead.

Despite dropping seven per cent, the London borough of Bexley topped Emoov’s list of the UK’s hottest areas, with demand at 71 per cent.
Bristol (69 per cent, up one per cent), Bedford (67 per cent, up two per cent), Aylesbury (64 per cent, up two per cent) and Northampton (64 per cent, up 10 per cent) made up the rest of the top five.
At the bottom, Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea (both at 12 per cent, flat on the first quarter) were judged to be the ‘coldest’ areas for demand.
