There was a fire at ITV Studios this morning and London Fire Brigade made a pun about it
London Fire Brigade has tackled a fire at ITV Studios this morning – but not before it meant Good Morning Britain was forced off air.
Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to ITV Studios on London’s Southbank this morning, where an IT post production room was on fire.
Around 50 people evacuated the building before the brigade arrived, but the fire has since been put out.
Station manager Rod Vitalis said: "Firefighters did extremely well to contain the fire to an IT post production room on the first floor. Thankfully no one was injured and 50 people evacuated safely."
The Brigade was called just before 7am and the fire was under control by 8:45am.
Fire crews from Lambeth, Dowgate and Soho fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation – however London Fire Brigade said it had ruled out arson…. and Arsene.
BREAKING: We've ruled #ArseneOut as cause of ITV Studio fire. @piersmorgan will be pleased https://t.co/VIlwzo5tMw pic.twitter.com/fuynMCNQwY
