Thailand bounces back from dip
Thailand’s economy rebounded in the final three months of the year, following a contraction in the third quarter of 2010, official data showed yesterday. GDP rose 1.2 per cent on the previous quarter. Growth for 2010 as a whole came in at 7.8 per cent, the fastest gain in 15 years. The news increased expectations that Thailand’s interest rates will rise further.
