TGI Friday’s private equity owner Electra ends buyout talks
UK private equity firm Electra which owns TGI Friday’s today confirmed it had ended talks about a possible buyout of the company.
Electra did not say who the interested parties were, but it had been talks about a possible sale since May.

It said talks for a sale of part of its portfolio were ongoing, but cautioned that there is no certainty that a deal will be done.
Electra’s portfolio includes the UK franchise of US-style restaurant chain TGI Friday's, property management firm Knight Square and personalised product and gift company Photobox.

Electra has been reorganising its structure since its split with investment manager Electra Partners in early 2017.
It said its strategic review was continuing and said it would announce the results before the end of October.
