Tesco Bank technical problems hit one in 20 customers
Tesco’s banking operations have suffered a technical problem which is preventing some customers from accessing their accounts.
Tesco Bank has been hit by a computer fault which means customers are unable to view their current accounts, savings and loans information online. Credit card customers are unaffected by the issue.
The bank estimated the glitch was affecting around one in 20 of its customers.
Tesco said it was working hard to resolve the matter as soon as possible. It apologised for the inconvenience and thanked customers for their patience.
“We are aware that some of our customers are currently unable to view their accounts in online banking,” said a Tesco Bank spokesperson. “Customers can still continue to use their accounts as normal and can contact us by phone if they need any help with their account.
The bank, which began offering current accounts to customers last summer, is online-only except for three branches in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle.
