Terror alert in Geneva: Police hunt suspects with terrorism links
Police in Geneva are searching for suspects with links to terrorism and have raised the alert level in the Swiss city, but there is no information connecting the search with Paris.
Swiss authorities are searching for four people believed to be in or near Geneva, a UN security guard told Reuters.
A Swiss federal police spokeswoman said that authorities had informed the Geneva police about people with possible "links to terrorism," prompting the search.
Security officials had earlier said they were looking for people "in the framework of investigations carried out following the Paris attacks, at the international and national level."
The UN's headquarters, located in the city, are on maximum alert.
The investigation into the attacks last month which killed 130, has already spanned beyond the borders of France to Belgium. Authorities are still hunting for one suspect linked to the attacks who remains on the run, Salah Abdeslam.
