Taste of London celebrates best of City menus
NO EXPENSE was spared last week for Taste of London, the gastronomic Glastonbury, with the city’s finest chefs and restaurateurs out in force.
European-focused airline and festival sponsors Cityjet were more excited than any to sample the best of London’s offerings, parking their Garden Party Enclosure right next to the VIP area complete with canapes, champagne and complimentary bar at the event in Regent’s Park.
Cityjet’s vice president of sales and distribution Patrick Lukan was on hand to guide The Capitalist through the bevvy of high-end food brands on offer at the show.
“I’ve heard great things about Sushisamba, Duck & Waffle and others,” he said of the famed City haunts.
But he couldn’t help but admit to a long standing love of fast-food from his native US when asked about his guilty pleasures away from the gourmet menu on offer at the festival.
“For me, it’s got to be Five Guys or In ‘n’ Out Burger,” he said. A man after our own hearts.
