St Ives says sales starting to improve
BRITISH printer St Ives said it had made a good start to its current financial year and had made further progress in reversing the decline in sales in the prior year.
Sales for the 13 weeks ended 29 October were broadly in line with the same period a year ago, the book and magazine publisher said.
St Ives said Miles Emley would step down as chairman at the end of July and would be replaced by non-executive director Richard Stillwell.
The company said it will sell its head office building in London for £6.3m in cash and move to leased premises by March 2011.
It added the recently acquired Occam business, which specialises in direct marketing, had been successfully integrated.
