Spring gives Rightmove a boost
Rightmove said it has attracted a record number of visitors to its property site following a pre-summer bounce in the UK house market. The website enjoyed its busiest month ever during March, while site traffic set a new record on 6 April, the first working day after Easter. Rightmove also claimed its market share among the top property websites has climbed to 83 per cent, from 81 per cent over 2009. It added that its overall number of advertisers rose one per cent since December, as growth in the number of estate agents and overseas advertisers offset a decline in the number of new homes developments being advertised. Price rises meant average revenues per advertiser rose 20 per cent in the first four months of the year.
