Spain’s growth starting to gain momentum
Spain’s economy grew 0.7 per cent in the final three months of last year, in line with previous official estimates.
The GDP figure marks an improvement from 0.5 per cent rate for the three months to September, according to figures released by the Spanish Statistical Office (INE). It is Spain’s strongest growth since it entered a double-dip recession in 2008.
Comparing output in the final three months of 2014 to the same period one year earlier, GDP was two per cent higher. It makes Spain one of the fastest growing economies in the Eurozone.
