Something for half term
SOLVE: MUSIC OF FIRE
This event features a tour beneath the famous Globe Theatre, where you will encounter mysterious magicians and bizarre puppets who will give you clues about how you can stop the Globe burning down. It culminates with a show at the theatre itself. Ages 6 to 11, 16-20 Feb, shakespearesglobe.com
LOL: MINI VAULT FESTIVAL
What’s better than being on the ground? Being underground, right? That’s where this family-oriented festival takes place – in the vaults beneath Waterloo, to be precise (21 and 22nd Feb, 7 March). There will be comedy, interactive installations, dancing lights, craft activities, a kazoo orchestra and loads of hula hoops. Wicked! vaultfestival.com
LEARN: OUT OF THIS WORLD ACTIVITY MORNINGS
Not only did Greenwich invent time, it’s also home to the awesome Royal Observatory, where you can go on 16 and 17 Feb (from 10am –12.30pm) to learn about dwarf planets and asteroids and other cool space stuff. rmg.co.uk
GAWP: THE INSECT CIRCUS
Probably the weirdest event this weekend is the Insect Circus, which returns to Jacksons Lane from the 17-22 February. Expect acrobatics, puppetry and slapstick humour as men battle other men dressed as insects. jacksonslane.org.uk
