Smurfit-Kappa dividend rises
SHAREHOLDERS at Smurfit-Kappa will benefit from a strong 2014 with a 30 per cent rise in its dividend.
The packaging company shook off a decline in its exports to China and pricing volatility to increase revenues by two per cent to €8bn (£5.93bn) for the year.
Net profit surged by 29 per cent to €378m for the year, as demand for recycled packaging in Europe was strong. Shareholders will now get a dividend of 40 cents per share.
