Starting from the 2016/17 season, Sky Sports and News UK will have exclusive rights to show in-match content and highlight packages on mobile, tablets and online.
With News UK ultimately owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp and Sky part-owned by 21st Century Fox, the deal further cements the media magnate's hold on Premier League coverage in the UK.
Earlier this year Sky paid £4.2bn for the rights to show 126 live Premier League matches per season, trumping competition from BT which spent £960m on 42 games.
Sky Sports managing director Barney Francis said: "The way people sport is changing rapidly" and the new deal would allow the company to offer more content across different platforms."
No figure was attached to the latest deal – News UK's previous agreement to show highlights on The Sun, Times and Sunday Times was thought to be worth around £20m.
News UK chief executive Mike Darcey today commented:
It was a competitive process with lots of interest from across the industry, which is testament to the innovation displayed by, and intuitive marketing campaigns created by, teams at News UK since first winning the rights in 2013. This new partnership with Sky Sports will undoubtedly bring a better product to market for our customers.
