The Shard just let another 20,000 sq ft of office space to a recruiter
The Shard may be one of the most recognisable buildings in London, but since its official opening in 2012, office rentals at the building have come in more of a trickle than a gush.
But today the building's owners announced its latest letting: 20,200 sq ft of space on the 10th storey will go to recruiter Robert Half – although there was no word on how much the company will pay for the space.
Robert Half, which is due to move in by October this year, will join the likes of media giant Al Jazeera (16th floor), financial advisory and investment banking firm Duff & Phelps (14th floor), and jeweller Tiffany & Co (undisclosed).
In a statement this morning, the Shard's owners said the 72-storey building is now home to 20 companies across 10 business sectors.
Irvine Sellar, the Shard's developer and co-owner, said Robert Half's arrival will "further our vision of creating Europe's first vertical city – a building with multiple uses and businesses where people can live, work and visit".
