Seymour Pierce heads list of advisers to AIM-listed UK firms
SEYMOUR Pierce has topped a list of brokers to the UK businesses listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM), counting 72 of its components among its clients.
The investment bank added two clients last year to pull ahead of FinnCap, with whom it tied last year.
During the same period FinnCap lost one client, taking its total to 69.
The latest professional services rankings from Morningstar, released this morning, also show Seymour Pierce in the lead in the nominated adviser (nomad) category with 73 clients, seven ahead of its closest rival Cenkos Securities. FinnCap takes third place with 62 nomad mandates from AIM-listed firms. Cenkos is closing the gap though, having added four clients over the last year, while Seymour Pierce’s roster has remained static.
Among law firms, independent firm Memery Crystal has maintained its top ranking despite losing three clients over the year, and now provides advice to 47 AIM companies.
There was also no change in the financial PR or auditor categories, with FTI Consulting and Grant Thornton maintaining their respective top spots.
