Severe delays hit commuters on District Line and Piccadilly Line due to a person on the track
Severe delays have struck the District Line and Piccadilly Line this morning due to a person on the track.
The District Line is suspended between Turnham Green and Ealing Broadway due to the incident, with tickets being accepted on local bus routes and South Western Railway.
Severe delays also hit the Piccadilly Line, which is suspended between Hammersmith and Acton Town due to a person on the track – it is not clear if this is a separate incident.
Transport for London (TfL) urged commuters to take other routes to work, with tickets accepted on local buses and TfL Rail.
The Jubilee Line is now running minor delays after a signal failure at Green Park, while a signal failure at Uxbridge hit the Piccadilly Line earlier today.
Minor delays are also affecting the Central Line between Leytonstone and Epping/Hainault via Newbury Park after a faulty train.
Meanwhile TfL Rail has recovered from severe delays between Liverpool Street and Shenfield after a vehicle hit a bridge near Brentwood this morning.
