Seven points to save West Ham
WEST Ham require another seven points from their final eight matches to achieve Premier League survival, according to boss Sam Allardyce.
Three straight defeats have moved the Hammers from the comfort of mid-table safety to looking precariously over their shoulder ahead of tonight’s visit from Hull.
Allardyce, whose team are six points clear of 18th-placed Sunderland, but have played twice more, said: “I think 38 points will be needed this year. For a club that’s in the Premier League for the second season to establish themselves and be a force in the Premier League, that’s very important.”
Joey O’Brien and Marco Boriello are definitely out, while winger Matt Jarvis is rated 50-50 to feature.
