Salvatore Ferragamo tears up the rulebook and enters the world of casualwear
When it comes to fashion, some rules are made to be broken. For 100 years, the craftsmen at made-to-measure connoisseurs
Salvatore Ferragamo used only the finest Italian leather to make smart, red carpet-worthy shoes for its Hollywood patrons. Now, in the year of its centenary, Ferragamo is shaking things up by creating its first range of sneakers.
Still showcasing Ferragamo’s signature Gancino look, these red high-tops are stitched from top to bottom with luxury detailing and Italian leather. The collection is accompanied by an online photography and short film series, entitled “A Man’s Story”, featuring actor Douglas Booth and rapper A$AP Rocky among others, explaining how they strive to rewrite the rules – just like Ferragamo.
