Seedrs is expanding further into Europe with a new Berlin office
Seedrs, the UK equity crowdfunding platform, is expanding with a new office in Berlin after gaining a financial passport to operate across the continent over the summer.
The latest location is its third outside the UK adding to an office in Amsterdam which opened in July and a software development office in Lisbon. It will also serve the markets in Austria and Switzerland.

While investors on the platform, which has helped fund digital bank Tandem among others, do come from Europe, as do companies looking for crowdfunding, Seedrs will now ramp up its activity in the region.
"Jeff [Lynn, chief executive and co-founder] and the UK team have always been impressed by the early-stage ecosystem throughout the DACH region, and it is my team’s job to spread the world and ensure that Seedrs becomes a key player in financing startup and growth companies across the three countries," said Kyrill Zlobenko, a European entrepreneur who will lead the expansion in the area as regional manager.

The firm said the expansion was part of plans to become an established crowdfunding player across the continent and that Brexit is not expected to have an impact on its business.
"I have spent a substantial amount of time in the DACH region over the past few years, and I am constantly amazed by how vibrant the early-stage ecosystem is there, not just in Berlin, but across all three countries," said Lynn.
