Screening service Check4Cancer beats crowdfunding target on Syndicate Room and raises £550,543
Cancer-screening service Check4Cancer has beaten its funding target on crowdfunding platform SyndicateRoom, having raised £550,543 – 110 per cent of its original target of £4,99,936.
Check4Cancer, which offers early screenings to check for cancer using technology not available on the NHS, is available for private clients in the UK, and was looking for investment to grow. The company will use the funding to reach new customers, and hopes to double its client base from 2015 to 2016.
The group, which has just announced a partnership with Cigna Health UK, says it has yearly revenues of around £1.3m and works with some 70 corporate partners, including Sky, the BBC, Easyjet, Hewlett Packard and BNY Mellon.
VW, BDO and Wiley are some of the other new partners confirmed for next year.
Check4Cancer was offering investors a 9.26 per cent stake, of equal share class, and hopes to exit in three years, if its current growth rate continues.
