SCOTLAND were eliminated from the Cricket World Cup after suffering a six-wicket defeat to Bangladesh in Nelson yesterday.
Kyle Coetzer’s 156 was Scotland’s first World Cup century as well as the highest score by an associate batsman at the tournament.
Scotland posted a total of 318-8 from their 50 overs before opener Tamim Iqbal led the reply with 95 as Bangladesh won with 11 balls to spare. Bangladesh’s score of 322-4 was the second highest run-chase in World Cup history.
