Ryanair makes its latest pitch to customers by launching Ryanair Rooms
Budget airline Ryanair will launch an accommodation service, offering customers a choice of hotels, hostels and more at the lowest prices.
The low price accommodation service, Ryanair Rooms, will launch from 1 October, in a bid to expand its offering to its 116m customers in a challenge to the likes of Airbnb.
The service will offer hotels, hotels, B&Bs, holiday villas and homestay options, but pledges that whatever is chosen is always at the lowest prices.

“With “Ryanair Rooms”, we’re going to transform booking accommodation. Launching on 1st October, “Ryanair Rooms” will offer consumers the biggest range of accommodation, including hotels, hostels, B&Bs, homestays and villas, via the Ryanair.com website, but all with the same lowest prices we guarantee with our flights,” said Ryanair’s Kenny Jacobs.
“More and more customers are looking to Ryanair for products other than flights, and we see this as a natural progression towards Ryanair.com becoming the Amazon of air travel.

“It also echoes the change in demand from customers for different types of accommodation, which in turn will be reflected by the varied range “Ryanair Rooms” will offer – from five-star hotel rooms to independent homestay. We look forward to receiving proposals from interested partners who want to help us disrupt the travel industry once more.”
Ryanair would charge commissions to accommodation suppliers of under 10 percent compared to up to 20 percent charged by some online aggregators.
In other news, Ryanair wants people to back Remain so much that it is offering cheaper flights home on the 22 and 23 June to get people to vote.
