RSM now sixth biggest accountancy network in the world, narrowly overtaking Grant Thornton, with six per cent fee income growth for year ended December 2015
RSM has today announced it achieved six per cent growth for fee income in the year to December 2015, meaning the accountancy network has narrowly overtaken Grant Thornton to become the sixth biggest worldwide.
The firm, which was previously in seventh place in the global rankings and currently has over 750 offices across 120 countries, pulled in $4.6bn (£3.2bn) in fees last year.
Growth was particularly strong in both Europe and the US, as the firm's fee income increased 10 per cent in both regions.
"We have had a very positive year and these figures indicate that RSM is going from strength to strength," said Jean Stephens, chief executive of RSM.
The accountancy network rebranded as RSM last October. Prior to this, the UK firms were known as Baker Tilly. Baker Tilly bought RSM Tenon as part of a pre-pack administration deal back in 2013.
Last December, the UK division of the network revealed that its revenue had grown by 26 per cent to £292m for the year ended March 2015.
