ROUND-UP | LATE MOVES
Roma’s Pizarro joins Man City
MANCHESTER CITY struck an uncharacteristically frugal late deal for Roma midfielder David Pizarro. The Chilean 32-year-old, who played for City manager Roberto Mancini at Inter Milan, has joined the top-flight leaders on loan until the end of the season.
Bridge loaned
SUNDERLAND have taken Manchester City outcast Wayne Bridge (right) on loan for the rest of the campaign. Former England full-back Bridge is joined at the Stadium of Light by ex-Liverpool centre-back Sotirios Kyrgiakos, also on loan.
Blues net teen Forest striker
CHELSEA completed an 11th-hour £1.5m move for Nottingham Forest’s teenage striker Patrick Bamford. The 18-year-old, who has played just 12 minutes of senior football, can also play on the left wing and will initially join the reserve set-up. Bamford recently scored nine goals in two FA Youth Cup games.
Hammers bag forward pair
WEST HAM last night completed the shock £650,000 signing of Manchester United prodigy Ravel Morrison (left). The 18-year-old attacker has been joined at Upton Park by Nicky Maynard, after the Hammers agreed a deal for the Bristol City striker.
Myaichi joins Bolton on loan
ARSENAL have sent winger Ryo Myaichi on loan to Bolton for the rest of the campaign. The Japanese 19-year-old has made just two substitute appearances for the Gunners since joining the club more than 12 months ago. Arsenal earlier completed a deal for teenage Borussia Dortmund midfielder Thomas Eisfeld.
