Rodgers slams mutiny claims
EMBATTLED Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has rubbished claims of dressing-room unrest as he prepares for tonight’s hazardous trip to in-form Bournemouth.
A Capital One Cup quarter-final upset at the Championship leaders would increase uncertainty over Rodgers’ position, though he insists there is no mutiny. “I hear one or two bits and pieces about unrest – it is totally untrue of course,” he said. “We are not happy we are not winning games. The spirit in the group is very strong.”
Rodgers is in need of a boost after exiting the Champions League and losing 3-0 at Manchester United, leaving his side in the bottom half of the Premier League, last week.
