Richard Scantlebury at CBRE is doing 10 marathons in 10 weeks, but he’s taking his time
City runners who took part in the Virgin London Marathon may be taking a well earned break from the gym this month, but not one stoic jogger at property giant CBRE.
Richard Scantlebury, who works in asset services for the company, has pledged to run 10 marathons in the space of 10 weeks in a bid to raise funds for CLIC Sargent, but he won't be going hell-for-leather like some of the City's runners.
Scantlebury, who kicked off his heroic feat last month at the Manchester Marathon, now has six to go in order to complete his task, having run the London Marathon with a time of 05:02:49.

Scantlebury was one of the more steady members of staff at CBRE in this year's London marathon, finishing two hours after fellow racer and graduate surveyor Alex Fryers, who completed the course in 03:02:05.
Many City workers were more keen to get on our City Runner League Table than ticking off multiple marathons: one fund manager at investment firm Mondrian Matt Gunby ran the whole thing dressed as Wonder Woman and still finished in 02:27:43.
Scantlebury, who had never run a marathon before taking up the challenge, started off in Manchester, running the marathon in April in 04:39:00. He still has another six marathons still to go, finishing the challenge with the "Enigma Shaken, Not Stirred Reverse Marathon" in June, which we can only assume will take twice as long.
Fortunately his fundraising has been much quicker off the mark. Not even halfway into the challenge, the City slicker has already raised £5,700 for charity.
