Revolution Beauty plans launch in 100s of UK stores amid booming growth
Revolution Beauty has announced plans to expand into over 350 UK Boots stores after sales surged in the first half of the year.
The ethical makeup company has announced half year revenues of £78m in 2021, up by 35 per cent compared to a year prior. Sales were driven by the company’s expansion in the US market, where sales surged by over 90 per cent after the brand launched in 1,800 Target stores.
Adam Minto, CEO and Joint Founder of Revolution Beauty Group plc, said: “It’s been just over two months since we
listed Revolution Beauty on the London Stock Exchange and we’re pleased to have continued the strong momentum
through the first half with 35% sales growth since last year.
“We have executed against our digital first strategy set out at IPO, adding over 200,000 DTC customers to our platform, while more than doubling international online sales in the US, Australia and New Zealand,” he added.
In the UK, the Group launched its Revolution PLEX haircare range on its digital platform during H1 and is now stocked in over 250 Boots stores and over 300 Superdrug stores, growth of 203 per cent year on year.
The company, which boasts a wide range of vegan and cruelty free makeup products, plans to launch in hundreds of additional Boots stores early next year.
The Group is optimistic about further sales growth in the second half of 2021, with sales expected to increase as the beauty industry enters its seasonal peak trading period of September to November.
Further growth of Revolution Beauty’s brands, categories and trading partners is envisaged to drive profits during the latter part of H2.
The company’s share price has today jumped 6.57 per cent to stand at GBX157.45.
